This is an informative tour of our trading platform. Below is the appearance of the full platform followed by a breakdown below it.
The Dealing Rates Table
The Dealing Rates Table is similar to the Dealing Rates Window, in that it gives you live market prices for currency crosses.
The Table also includes the day's high and low prices as well as rollover rates fro each currency pair.
The Dealing Rates Window
This is a live streaming feed that gives you market executable rates. You can stay up to date with market prices and open or close positions. You can personalize the window to show the rates that pertain to you. You can use this window to "buy and "sell" currencies.
Open a Trade
To open a position, left click either "Bid" (Sell) or "Ask" (Buy).
This will open up a new position window.
Continue by selecting the "lot" amount you wish to open and click OK.
Your position is now OPEN.
View current positions
To view all of your current open positions refer to the "Open Positions" Window on your trading platform. This window will give you detailed information about all current open positions.
Close a position
You can "close" and "open" positions by clicking on the corresponding tab in the open positions window.
You can set stops and limits as well as other various functions by left-clicking the corresponding tab on the open positions window.
You can access a history of closed Positions by selecting "Tools" tab on the main toolbar, and then selecting "Closed Positions".
A window will open giving you detail of your recently closed positions.
Create a new order
To create a new ORDER, you can right-click a currency pair on the Dealing Rates Window or Table and scroll down to ENTRY-STOP or ENTRY-LIMIT.
Upon clicking, a window will pop-up, specifying the details of your order. Simply set the "lot" amount and the rate at which you intend to buy or sell and click OK.
Your order has been placed.
Entry Orders
Entry Limit: Entry Limit orders relate to opening positions in the future, when the market price has moved DOWN for a Buy order or UP for a Sell order.
Entry Stop: Entry Stop orders relate to opening positions in the future, when the market price has moved UP for a Buy order/DOWN for a Sell order.
Once the entry order has been entered into the system, you can see the order in the "orders" table.
Stop and Limit Orders
Unlike Entry Stop and Entry Limit orders, conventional Stop and Limit orders are used to close existing positions when a certain price is reached.
In the Open Positions window, left-click on the "Stop" or "Limit" field of the desired open position, the dialog box will appear:
Trailing Stop
The Trailing Stop works as follows: If the market price moves UP for a Buy position/DOWN for a Sell position, the Trailing Stop moves with the market price, following it at the pre-set distance.
If the market price moves DOWN for a Buy position/UP for a Sell position, then the Trailing Stop remains fixed and , if the market price reaches the Trailing Stop price, the order will be executed.
Hedging a position
"Hedging" refers to the opening of a new position in the opposite direction of an existing position on the same instrument. Right-click on the desired position in the Open Positions window and choose Hedge Position from the pop-up menu. The dialog box will appear:
Enter the desired number of lots into the "Amount" field. By default, you are offered to fully hedge the position.
Press OK to confirm the hedge.
Charts window
As a point of reference, the CKFX platform provides live online charts for each individual currency pair. To find a chart, right click the currency pair you wish to view and select OPEN CHART.
The chart allows you to change the following parameters:
- Currency Pair- once any chart window is open you can adjust the currency pair.
- Chart Type- Candle, Line, or Bar.
- Time Period- 1 week, 1 day, 4 hours, 2 hours, 1 hour, 30 minutes, 15 minutes, 5 minutes, 1 minute and TICK (market timed).
The charts can also be upgraded with a host of relevant technical indicators.
Setup indicators
to setup indicators click the (f(x)) function sign on your chart.
An "Indicators" window will open and you can add from a list of well known technical indicators.
Account info
You can keep up to date with your account status via the Account Information window. This window (also included in default workspace) lets you check the following information:
- Equity- Your Balance totaled with the current profit or loss in open positions.
- Balance- Account Balance
- Used Margin- the margin that is being used in currently opened positions or orders.
- Usable Margin- Total Equity minus Used Margins.
- Net Profit or Loss- this shows you the current profit or loss on all open positions.
Reports
Reports can be accessed via the Reports workspace on our Platform, or by selecting File/Reports on the main toolbar.
The Reports Window gives you an in-depth look into your opened and closed positions as well as account information and future orders placed on the platform. Reports can be used to check the positions that have been opened and closed since the account was activated.
