Orders Toolbar

A trading toolbar (‘Orders’) has been implemented for faster and more convenient trading and application management. The command shortcuts of this toolbar allows traders to quickly perform trading and application organization tasks, saving time that would otherwise be spent scrolling through menus or locating necessary windows. Clicking on one of the toolbar buttons opens corresponding window or executes a command.

The Orders toolbar contains the following buttons:
• Sell

• Buy

• Entry Sell

• Entry Buy

• Stop Order

• Limit Order

• Remove Order

• Close Position:

 

Sell’ and ‘Buy’ buttons.

To open a new position click on the relevant ‘Sell’ or ‘Buy’ button on the toolbar; the corresponding new position dialog will appear. Configure the details of your market order (Instrument, amount, etc), and click OK.

 

‘Entry Sell’ and ‘Entry Buy’ buttons.

To create an entry sell or entry buy order click on the ‘Entry Sell’ or ‘Entry Buy’ button, choose Entry Stop or Entry Limit from the resulting menu, and the relevant entry order creation dialog will appear.

'Stop’ and ‘Limit’ buttons

To set a stop or limit order on an existing position, click on the ‘Stop’ or ‘Limit’ button. A mini-window of existing positions will appear (it will be called ‘Set Stop Order’ or ‘Set Limit Order’ depending on which button was pressed. This window is a simplified version of the Open Positions window with only ‘Account’, ‘Ticket’, ‘Instrument’, Lot, B/S, Open, Close, Net P/L columns:

Select a position on which you wish to place the conditional order, click ‘Ok’ and a Stop/Limit Order dialog appears.

Note 1: Before clicking on the ‘Stop’ or ‘Limit’ button, you can select a position in the Open Positions window and it will be preselected in the Set Stop/Limit Order window.

Note 2: If there are no open positions in the Open Positions window when the button is pushed, this message is displayed:

Remove Order button

To remove an order, click on the ‘Remove Order’ button; the Remove Orders window will appear, which is a simplified version of Orders window with only ‘Account’, ‘Order’, ‘T’, ‘Instrument’, ‘Lot’, ‘B/S’, ‘Bid’, ‘Ask’ columns:

Select the orders that you want to remove and click Ok. The selected orders will be removed.

Note 3: Before clicking on the ‘Remove’ button, you can select order(s) in the Orders window and they will be preselected in the Remove Orders window.

Note 4: If there are no orders in the Orders window when the button is pushed, this message is displayed:

‘Close Position’ button

To close a position, click the ‘Close Position’ button; The Close Trades window appears, which is a simplified version of the Open Positions window. Select the positions you wish to close, click ‘Ok’ and the selected positions will be closed.

Note 5: Before clicking on the ‘Close Position’ button, you can select a position in the Open Positions window and it will be preselected in the Close Trades window.

Note 6: If there are no open positions in the Open Positions window when you click the button, this message is displayed:
