Navigation:  Toolbars > Showing and Hiding Toolbars

Toolbars can be hidden from the application panel. You can hide them by unchecking their check boxes in the View-Toolbars menu:

or in the toolbar’s right click menu:

 

These menus also allow you to show or hide the text labels for the buttons.
